SLICERS | Please tune in! We need to get rid of that nasty ol' slice..

Picture this.. You've got a great round going. Potentially on track to be your best round. Fun times right? Then you get that same hole that has OB right, and you lose it. Frustrating isn't it? Well here's the thing, SLICING the golf ball is at the root of all that is holding MOST amateurs back. It's really a terrible distance robbing, contact sucking, inconsistent striking habit.

Well there's hope! There's even more hope if you understand your process and what you're trying to accomplish. At the root of a slice is an open club face. I'll define that as your face is open to your swing path. Let's not get any more complicated than that today. You need to learn to use your grip, wrists, and club face differently to make that ball curve left! Picture your grip as a clock, for a right hander if you're looking down at your grip, you need to rotate that grip counter-clockwise A LOT! Start early, rotate it a lot. You've probably heard some slice fix before right? Well, let me tell you something you probably haven't heard. It's OK to pull hook the ball. Especially for the short-term future. That means we're successfully getting our face closed. At that stage then it's time to work on the path some.

Alright, I wanted you to get an understanding of how to rid that nasty ol' slice. Let's start slow and build on that. Check out the video below if you want to dive a little deeper, or get a visual on the fix.
